Time Flies...

I took a little time out after the summer holidays as I wasn't feeling too creative and then Christmas was upon us... I seem to have ignored my blog since my last post and I'm amazed at how quickly time seems to pass without a second thought!!
Since January I have been very busy crafting, but here are a few images pre Christmas....

Last month I attended the Suffolk Papercraft Show in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk where I treated my self to an IndigoBlu FlitterGlu Kit... The effects are stunning and I will post images as soon as I have loaded them... keep crafting

Catch up

Wow... didn't think it had been quite so long since my last post!!! Being the Summer Term for my two tiddlies we have been busy with summer events for school, brownies etc
I had a go at making a friend a birthday cake, not the most confident at icing and wasn't really sure of an easy theme, so went with the theme of 2012: Great Britain.

Easter boxes

Had a fab time at the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show on Sunday, treated myself to a few new goodies which I am currently in the process of using at the moment.... watch this space!!!

I made some friends Easter boxes as I hadn't realised Easter was so near and I got to use my Promarkers finally!!!

Well since the last post have I been on a roll... I sent off my Product Challenge for Simply Homemade Magazine and the first wave will be published in Issue 17 available mid May.

Product Challenge

Feeling a little excited today as I received my product challenge goodies from Simply Homemade magazine...
Glad they're here as I have been feeling a bit blocked on the creative side...
Can't wait to start now, I only have to make one item in 8 steps and it's my choice what I make from two sheets of 12x12 card, 6 sheets of patterned 12x12 paper, 2 pieces of material, 3 pieces of felt and an assortment of ribbon & buttons.

Resolutions

Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year can't believe how much it resembled a whirlwind.... massive build up and all over in a flash!!!
But it has come to that time where we all make New Year's resolutions...
This year my resolution is to be far more crafty and make more cards and perhaps even make some money from it!!! Hopefully this'll be one resolution I can keep..!! Watch this space...

Wow can't believe it's been so long since my last post... I seem to have been so busy with the kids, I'm sure my social life was never this hectic at their age..!!

Holidays were busy visiting my parents, craft show and getting ready for my youngest's first day at Primary school, he looked so grown up, but I managed to find time to make cards...

My First Easel Card

My dad was 65 recently and he absolutely loves steam trains. As a child I can remember being woken up to the sound of a steam train thundering through the house...

Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show

Really enjoyed the Papercraft show on Sunday, great to be out of the house having adult conversation for a change. Just need to find some inspiration... Don't think this cold is helping matters just feel shattered the whole time!! Doesn't help that the kids are off school and need entertaining, especially my youngest!!

Playgroup Sale

Yesterday was my little boy's Playgroup Sale and I am a little disappointed..!! I only sold the hand knitted mittens I had made even though I had a good assortment of cards and Mothers Day isn't too far away..

But on the plus side I have been asked for a price on 20 Thank you cards and I have been given the dates of a local craft show so fingers crossed!!

Holiday

Since getting all my Christmas cards made in time, and a few more besides, I decided to relax over the festive time.
Trouble is, I'm really lacking in motivation now to make some more... My son's playgroup is hosting a tabletop sale so perhaps that will give me the kick I need...!!

Rubber Stamp Tapestry

Finally plucked up enough courage to give my new stamps a go... couldn't believe how easy it actually was!! I'd been looking for them for ages and happened to notice them at the last craft show...can't wait to get some more now!! Let me know what you think ( I know photo quality could be better..)

Boxes

Before my partner's mum passed away she asked me to make each of her daughters a "box of love"...
She gave me a beautiful verse about how you're never to open the box because it's filled with love.
She was pleased with the final result and i was pleased to help her.

Weekend Crafting

I had a lovely day, couple of weeks back, with my close friend Sarah. We spent most of the day with craft stuff all over the kitchen table making our first Christmas cards... We also had my 4 year old son!! Bless him, with no big Sister around he was quiet as a mouse, i nearly forgot he was there!!! My other half wasn't impressed though, next day he found 12 sheets of full colour printouts on the printer!!!
